Beier Radio Company Profile

BEIER RADIO was founded in 1945 by Mr. Frank L. Beier in New Orleans, LA. The company sold, installed and serviced radio receivers in automobiles and ship-to-shore radios in boats. At that time radios were the only commercially available electronic product and the name seemed to embody the future.

Now after 60 years of business we still proudly carry the same name but our scope of service and the products we supply far surpass the initial ideas of Mr. Frank L. Beier.

During the 1970's, '80's and '90's BEIER RADIO supplied communication and navigation equipment and electronic engineering for the majority of new vessels built along the Gulf Coast. We've outfitted thousands of offshore supply vessels, inland tug boats, offshore drilling rigs, ocean ships, US Navy and Coast Guard vessels. On any given day we likely have men in foreign ports such as Singapore, Belize, Vera Cruz, Cape Town or Hong Kong, servicing our customers vessels. Our customer list is a virtual "Who's Who" of the marine industry.

Today BEIER RADIO, the commercial electronics division, operates two offices in BelleChasse (New Orleans), and Morgan City, Louisiana. We provide Integrated Vessel Control Systems, Private Short Range Positioning Systems, Radars, GPS, GMDSS communications and a complete line of communication and navigation equipment systems. In addition we provide system responsibility for the supply, installation and service of engine monitoring systems, EOT's, engine controls, navigation light panels, sound powered telephones, steering systems, and steering controls.

In addition to supplying equipment, Beier Radio offers Project Management services for all your new construction or retrofit projects. We provide engineering assistance to get you started and on-the-job hands on management to complete your project and get your vessel operational.
